Have you been staring at your walls, looking at your home from all angles and wondering what you can do to occupy some of the free time you have while spending time in your home? I have been working on this project myself and thought I would share it with you.

I have been going through some photos from my recent trip to Asia in order to print and put them in frames on my wall.

Do you have vacation photos you have always wanted to print & frame?

Look around for new locations to hang art and move your art around in your home. I planned to create a collage wall of photos from our trip to Asia for the short hallway to our bedroom.

I have pre purchased the frames based on a layout I planned in advance from www.folkgraphis.com.*Always best to plan ahead to save time and money. Plan your future collage wall by first selecting the photos you want from your phone or downloaded to your computer. You can order the photos online and have them sent to your home. Check out www.londondrugs.com. As you can see in the attached photos, I am still waiting for a couple of the larger photos to arrive from my online London Drugs order.

*NOTE: First select frame size, then order the photos.

Plan ahead for the collage by selecting frame sizes through online sources such as www.canada.michaels.com. They will carry standard frame sizes: 3x5”, 4x6”, 8x10”, 11x14”.

To layout the collage, cut the frame sizes you are thinking of out of newspaper, scrap wrapping paper, craft paper, cardboard, whatever you have on hand and lay them out on the floor. This will allow you to plan the layout of your frames before you purchase them and also play around with them when you receive them via delivery. You can make a template by taping the frame sizes onto a large piece of cardboard once you have determined the sizes you want. *NOTE: Creating a template helps with installation of the frames.

Other ideas to your current free time:

Look at purchasing new art online & support an artist. Another option is to have your children or grandchildren make some art for you to hang. Order supplies from a local art supplier www.thepaintspot.ca and have it delivered to your loved ones for an activity.

I hope these ideas brighten your day while looking at your vacation photos, spending time with your loved ones while doing it, or finding a new favourite artist to follow.

*NOTE: A few of my favourite artists to follow are: Annette Sicotte, Giselle Denis, & Bobbie Burgers *They are All on Instagram.

I book by appointment as always, and I am available for Facetime or Phone Call Consultations. If you require assistance with any little or large projects you are tackling in your home or have a quick question, feel free to call or text me. If I can answer it within 15 minutes I don’t charge for my time.

Looking forward to hearing from anyone who needs help with their interior design projects.

Stay safe, smile and bring happiness to someone today.

Sincerely,

Karla Billey
